'For me' – Sky Sports pundit baffled at what has happened to Man Utd star who has 'so much talent,' he's heartbroken

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp has admitted that he is ‘heartbroken’ for one talented all-round Manchester United star after the 1-1 draw against Brentford.

Manchester United had to settle for a point on Saturday in their first Premier League match since the end of the March international break.

The Red Devils travelled to the Gtech Community Stadium and produced an underwhelming display against Thomas Frank’s Brentford side.

Despite their overall performance, United came close to snatching all three Premier League points after Mason Mount came off the bench and broke the deadlock.

However, Mason Mount’s injury-time opener for United lasted only minutes after Kristoffer Ajer pulled Brentford level with an all-important equaliser.

United fans were far from impressed with the Premier League performance, with supporters dropping their two cents on one player’s display against Brentford.

Andre Onana, on the other hand, impressed United manager Erik ten Hag after he kept the Red Devils in the contest at the Gtech Community Stadium.

United’s costly draw against Brentford has left them facing an even bigger battle in trying to finish inside the Premier League top four before the end of the season.

Redknapp wants more from Man Utd star

Andre Onana was one of the very few Manchester United players to receive praise for their performance, with fans impressed with his showing against Brentford.

Other first-team players who played in the Premier League clash did not receive the same love as Onana, including United and England star Marcus Rashford.

Marcus Rashford, who has faced mounting criticism this season, offered very little against Brentford and was ruthlessly slammed by fans for his performance.

The 26-year-old United forward played 80 minutes before Erik ten Hag withdrew him from the pitch and replaced him with former Chelsea star Mason Mount.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Jamie Redknapp claims that Rashford is not “enjoying his football” based on his body language.

The Sky Sports pundit insisted that he wants to see more from the Three Lions international, with Rashford being a player who has “everything” in his arsenal.

“Rashford is a player with so much talent,” Redknapp said after the match.

“He’s got everything – he’s got an incredible physique, he can run, he can dribble, he can shoot, he got 30 goals last year… I look at the player right now and he looks like he’s not enjoying his football.

“For me, it’s quite heart-breaking because they’ve got so much talent. I want to see more.”

Redknapp talks Man Utd and Premier League top four

United are currently sixth in the Premier League table, with the Red Devils eight points behind fifth-place Tottenham with nine league matches remaining.

Fourth-place Aston Villa also hold an 11-point lead over United, although Unai Emery’s men have played one match more than Ten Hag’s men.

Redknapp admitted that it is “difficult” to predict whether or not United will finish in the top four this season due to their inconsistency in the Premier League.

“It’s so difficult to predict Man Utd because they’re so inconsistent,” he said.

“You just don’t know what you’re going to get.

“So, for you to say they can finish above Tottenham and Aston Villa right now, you can’t really make a case for them.”
