Dr Pimple Popper has seen some old and big lipomas in her life, but Jess’ mammoth 23-year-old neck lipoma may be up there in the record books!
The TLC show has given popaholics plenty of cyst and lipoma content to obsess over, and Jess’ remains one of the most memorable due to the huge size and length of time he’s had to deal with it. Luckily, after two decades of his life being on pause, Dr Pimple Popper came to the rescue once again.

Jess says his bump looks like a ‘hideous golf ball’ sticking out the side of his neck, which feels ‘squishy’. He tries to hide it with his hair, but the bump is so big that he can never hide it all. “It’s disgusting, it looks ugly,” the 71-year-old exclaims.
After 23 years, the patient finally decides to go to visit Dr Sandra Lee‘s office, in hopes the bump will be gone once and for all.
The CT scan says that his lipoma is extending into the side of his neck, where important structures such as veins and arteries, which could be particularly dangerous.
Although the placement of the lipoma concerns the doctor, she’s ready to take the patient to the operating table, although she can’t promise she’ll be able to completely remove it.
The patient has a ‘new lease of life’ after the removal
Despite her concerns, Dr Lee went ahead with the removal, and Jess exclaimed he felt a “new lease of life.”
The doc split the lipoma into two to see beneath the surface, successfully removing the mammoth lipoma with her surgical scissors.
Luckily, the process was easier than Dr Lee thought it would be, and the patient was over the moon with the results.
Before the removal, Jess would hesitate to leave the house and meet people, but now he can “do anything he wants to do,” and finally live life once again.
