M25 delays after crash between Junction 6 at Godstone and Junction 5 at Sevenoaks, with three-mile queues on M26

Emergency services have been called to a crash on the M25 which is leading to delays of more than an hour.

A crash at Junction 6 A22 (Godstone) has been causing heavy congestion to Junction 5 M26/A21 (Sevenoaks) since about 4.30am.

It led to the exit slip road at Junction 6 clockwise of the M25 closing shortly before 6am.

As a knock-on effect, motorists are facing delays of three miles on the M26.

There are also delays on the M25 clockwise from J2 for the A2 Darenth Interchange following the crash.

Two lanes out of four on the stretch of motorway remain shut while recovery work is carried out.

National Highways says delays now exceed 60 minutes on approach and that fire services are at the scene.

It is not yet know if anyone has been injured in the crash.
