Tottenham could now look to 20-year-old who’s ‘got everything’ that Fabio Paratici has identified

Tottenham Hotspur could now turn their attention to a 20-year-old who has been identified by Fabio Paratici.

A number of potential summer targets are already being linked with the north London club ahead of the summer transfer window.

This comes as Ange Postecoglou’s side aim to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Strength in depth with quality summer additions is what will be required over the course of the summer, but it seems Spurs may now target a 20-year-old forward.

Tottenham showing interest in Samuel Iling-Junior

Adding to their forward line has been something Postecoglou has put a big emphasis on since landing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last summer.

Spurs have already added the likes of Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner to their squad under Postecoglou’s watch.

However, the future of the German forward remains uncertain with Tottenham still having until 14 June to make a decision on whether to sign him permanently.

But it seems as if Spurs could turn their attention to another young talent this summer who has been identified by Paratici.

Postecoglou has already brought in a number of young prospects with the likes of Lucas Bergvall and Ashley Phillips two of the players arriving under 20 years of age.

However, transfer guru Dean Jones has now suggested Spurs could make a move for the Juventus forward Samuel Iling-Junior over the coming months.

He said: “The contact has not been there so far, but I’d be open-minded about that because while Spurs have a list of names they are targeting, they might drop it down as the top names become unattainable. New clubs will soon be mentioned, but the first contacts are not there yet.”

What Iling-Junior’s former coach said about his potential

The 20-year-old Englishman is a product of the Chelsea academy, but now finds himself playing at Juventus.

Serie A is a market which Spurs have handled incredibly well over recent years with the guidance of Paratici.

Players such as Cristian Romero, Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie are just some of the Spurs regulars who have been poached from the Italian top flight recently.

Iling-Junior has only been able to make two starts in Serie A this season for the Old Lady where he has been able to tally up just one goal and two assists in his 509 league minutes this term.

It is apparent one of his former Chelsea, Saul Isaksson-Hurst, coaches thinks the 20-year-old is a player who is destined for big things in the future.

He said: “Samuel is unique because he is so technical and can use both feet so he could probably play anywhere. He’s got everything.”

It has not exactly been a season to remember for the Englishman, but here is a summary of his time at Juventus.

  • 38 appearances
  • 1162 minutes played
  • 2 goals
  • 4 assists
  • 20 of those appearances this season

This is a player who Paratici has identified during Antonio Conte’s time in north London back in 2022.

But what type of impact Iling-Junior could have on this current Spurs side has to be a huge question going into the summer.

He is currently struggling to work his way into Juventus’ thinking and Spurs already have a host of options at left wing with Werner expected to be made a permanent signing in the summer.
