'I still fancy': Chris Sutton has predicted who will win tonight - West Ham or Tottenham

Tottenham face West Ham United on Tuesday evening in what could be a decisive game for both teams heading into the final weeks of the season.

Spurs are chasing a place in next season’s Champions League, while West Ham are looking to, once again, qualify for Europe.

West Ham have been something of a bogey team for Tottenham as of late, but, of course, after some sketchy form as of late, Spurs do head into this game as slight favourites.

As we all know, anything can happen in the Premier League, and you’d have to be a brave man to try to predict this game.

As ever, writing in his BBC Sport column, Chris Sutton has put his neck on the line and tried to predict the result of this match.

Chris Sutton predicts West Ham vs Tottenham

The pundit has predicted Tottenham to win this one 3-2 in what should be a very entertaining game.

“They (West Ham) will be looking to bounce back here, and they will be confident because they have already beaten Tottenham once this season,” Sutton wrote.

“The expansive way Spurs play suits West Ham because they will be able to hit them on the counter-attack. I think Antonio was taken off on Saturday to rest him for this game, and he will play another key role here.”

“There should be a few goals at the other end too, though. Tottenham are just relentless going forward and wear teams down. Even if they go behind, I still fancy them to win this one.”

West Ham can be tricky

Tottenham will be viewing this as a very winnable game, but you don’t need us to tell you how tricky West Ham can be.

The Hammers, on their day, are a match for pretty much any team in the Premier League. They can set up shop in a defensive sense, while their long-ball style can cause even the most physical of teams massive problems.

Spurs can be almost certain that they won’t have an easy time of it against West Ham.
