Saturday’s Premier League games showed Chelsea that 24-year-old is the perfect signing to make – opinion

Chelsea were wasteful yet again on Saturday as they dropped more points in the Premier League against a resilient Burnley side.

A common theme of the season has been the Blues lacking their clinical edge in front of goal, with the exception of one man.

Cole Palmer made it 30 goals and assists combined in all competitions with his brace at the weekend, and further established himself as the most important player for the club right now.

Chelsea waste chances vs Burnley

However, it was the same old story with big chances going to waste, and this left a number of supporters hoping for the club to make one signing in particular when the transfer window opens.

Many have been crying out for a striker to find the net on a regular basis, and the fact that their xG was miles clear of their opponents suggested that they had a number of chances to win the game on Saturday.

If those in charge of the transfers at the club were paying attention to action elsewhere in the Premier League, they will have been privy to one player proving he would be the absolute perfect addition.

Isak shows he is perfect Chelsea signing

Newcastle played out arguably the most entertaining game of the year so far in the top flight, as they completed a memorable comeback against West Ham United.

On the scoresheet twice from the spot was Alexander Isak, who put in a top striking display leading the line on his own.

It has been reported that Chelsea are in for a number of top names as far as this position goes in the transfer window, however few would come in with the risk of not being able to adapt to the difficulties of the Premier League.

Despite the fact Nicolas Jackson has made himself a bit of an ever-present in the side up to now, he is yet to show the guilt-edge finishing that many have been calling out for at the club.

While links toVictor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres have been a thing, the weekend proved they cannot go wrong with the acquisition of Isak.
