'Unbelievable'... Nicolas Kuhn sheds light on what he loved about Celtic's win over Livingston

Celtic defeated lowly Livingston last weekend in a comprehensive victory ahead of our trip to face Rangers at Ibrox this Sunday.

Jamie Brandon’s own goal was polished off by strikes from Paulo Bernardo and Matt O’Riley, marking a successful day as the Bhoys maintained their one-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

The added bonus from our trip to the Tony Macaroni Arena was the return of Reo Hatate, who featured for just over an hour with no complications, turning in a vintage display.

Republic of Ireland international Liam Scales also made his comeback and held the fort successfully in the visiting rearguard with Cameron Carter-Vickers, providing a first clean sheet in eight matches for Celtic.

Filling out the majority of the stadium, our supporters were in full voice to spur the team on to a deserved triumph, which will hopefully breed confidence ahead of Brendan Rodgers’ men travelling to Glasgow’s southside at the end of the week.

Unfortunately, we won’t have the luxury of an away following at Ibrox, though our record without a considerable number of fans at the home of our biggest rivals hasn’t been too bad in recent years.

Either way, Sunday promises to be a mouthwatering occasion between two opponents vying for first prize; regardless, Rodgers can take inspiration from his record in the fixture, having lost just once in 15 encounters against Rangers.

Nicolas Kuhn on what was ‘unbelievable’ about Livingston win

Kuhn enjoyed a productive afternoon in West Lothian, playing a major part in the opening goal and creating three chances before coming off as Celtic sealed a comfortable three points.

Speaking in the aftermath of proceedings, the 24-year-old has elaborated on his side’s performance alongside detailing what he thought was ‘unbelievable’ about the occasion.

He stated [The Daily Record]: “I thought we played a great game. Defensive-wise, we were strong because Livingston had no chances. In the second half, we were happy to get the first goal. Then we found more space, so at the end 3-0 was OK.

Later down the line, Kuhn added a message on the Celtic support, as he said: “It was unbelievable [the atmosphere]. It felt like a home game. The fans were great. For Sunday, we need to focus on ourselves.”

Celtic are blessed to have a brilliant core away support that travels far and wide to support the team, and it is great to hear players reciprocate their appreciation for the fans at any given opportunity.

On the pitch, Kuhn has emerged as a key player in recent weeks for the Bhoys, which can hopefully continue between now and the end of the season.
