The state Elections Canvassing Commission on Tuesday certified the results of former President Donald Trump’s win in Florida’s March 19 Republican presidential primary election.

The commission, made up of Gov. Ron DeSantis, Attorney General Ashley Moody and state Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis, met briefly by phone and approved the results without comment.

Trump received about 81.2 percent of the vote in the primary, which came after Gov. Ron DeSantis and other Republicans dropped out of the presidential race.

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley received nearly 13.9 percent of the vote, while DeSantis got about 3.7 percent.

Democrats did not have a primary because President Joe Biden was the only candidate put forward for the ballot.
