Texas Tech forward Devan Cambridge plans to enter NCAA transfer portal

Texas Tech forward Devan Cambridge plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal. He appeared in eight games for the Red Raiders this season before suffering a season-ending injury.

Cambridge started his career at Auburn, appearing in 91 games – including 33 starts – over three years on The Plains. He then transferred to Arizona State for the 2022-23 season and put up the best numbers of his career, averaging 9.8 points and 5.4 rebounds while starting 35 of 36 games.

Cambridge played high school basketball at Hillcrest Prep (Ariz.) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 228 overall player from the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
