Russia's losses in Ukraine as of April 3: Dozens of vehicles and 710 troops

Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine have exceeded 444,000 troops. Just in the last day, Ukrainian military eliminated over 700 Russians, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to April 3, 2024 are estimated as follows::

  • Personnel - 444,370 (+710) individuals,
  • Ttanks - 7,009 (+11) units,
  • APV (Armored personnel vehicles) - 13,368 (+18) units,
  • Artillery systems - 11,142 (+30) units,
  • MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems) - 1,025 (+2) units,
  • Anti aircraft warfare systems - 745 (+1) units,
  • Aircraft - 347 (+0) units,
  • Helicopters - 325 (+0) units,
  • UAVs operational-tactical level - 8,796 (+17) units,
  • Cruise missiles - 2,059 (+1) units,
  • Warships/boats - 26 (+0) units,
  • Submarines - 1 (+0) unit,
  • Vehicles and fuel tankers - 14,813 (+30) units,
  • Special equipment - 1,838 (+6) units.

Frontline situation

Russian occupiers intensified their assaults on the front line during the winter. In particular, the Russians managed to capture Avdiivka and some neighboring villages. However, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding positions near Avdiivka, preventing the enemy from advancing further.

In addition, Ukrainian military also reported that the occupiers are seeking to capture Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region. Heavy fighting is also ongoing in the area of Kupiansk, Kharkiv region.
