As the 2023/24 season comes to an end, it has been an unmemorable year for many Sunderland fans. After being in the playoff mix at the start of 2024, a terrible run of form soon put an end to any promotion hopes.

As a result, we examine the Sunderland first-team players as eyes now move to the upcoming campaign.

Several player’s contracts are set to expire in the summer. Current interim manager Mike Dodds is yet to renew these deals since Michael Beale’s sacking, with only Aji Alese signing a long-term contract.

With time running out to see who will stay at the Stadium of Light, here is a list of when every Sunderland player’s contract expires.

When do the contracts expire for every Sunderland player?
