Neil Warnock issues transfer verdict involving Celtic and Bojan Miovski live on talkSPORT

Celtic will be in the market for some fresh blood this summer as Brendan Rodgers makes some alterations to his squad.

Positionally, the goalkeeping area is the most likely to undergo significant change this summer due to Joe Hart’s retirement at the end of the campaign.

Brendan Rodgers has also confirmed that Scott Bain and Benjamin Siegrist may be set to move on, as he stated back in February when discussing a potential Hart replacement [Sky Sports]: “Listen, we might need even more than one goalkeeper; some of the guys that have been here for a while may want to go and play.”

There may also be movement from middle to front depending on whether Adam Idah or Paulo Bernardo are signed permanently; however, we may have to wait until the end of the season for clarity on their future.

If Republic of Ireland international Idah were to head back to Norwich City, there would be scope for a new centre-forward to arrive at Parkhead this summer.

Brondby forward Mathias Kvistgaarden, Aberdeen’s Bojan Miovski and several others were mentioned in the January window; regardless, there will likely also be other candidates in a few months time.

Neil Warnock drops Bojan Miovski transfer verdict on talkSPORT

Miovski has emerged as a talismanic figure for Aberdeen over the last couple of years and has been in lethal form this term, registering 23 goals and four assists in 45 appearances [Transfermarkt].

Neil Warnock had the opportunity to work with the North Macedonia striker at Pittodrie for a little over a month, and he indicated that he would suit Celtic’s style of play if the 24-year-old were to be up for sale this summer.

When asked about the forward, the former Dons manager stated live on talkSPORT: “He works hard. I think they possibly will sell him in the summer. He continued: “I think obviously the top two (Celtic and Rangers), he would fit in with them as well because he works hard.

“He did about 12k running when we played Rangers, he worked his socks off and scored a goal, but he’s a good finisher and I think it’s done him a world of good going to Aberdeen. It’s a good club.”

Bojan Miovski would be a great signing for Celtic

Despite Aberdeen’s patchy form, Miovski has remained a constant shining light throughout and is destined to have a distinguished career at a high level.

What that looks like exactly isn’t clear; regardless, Celtic would be able to offer him another bite at competing in continental competition, though his current employers won’t sell him for any less than a premium.

If Celtic were to pursue Miovski again, they wouldn’t be alone as his stock continues to rise, which will grba the attention of plenty other sides around Europe.
