Jurgen Klopp shares what he’s ‘sure’ Mo Salah is telling every Liverpool player to do in training now

Despite being out injured for a while this season it now feels like Mohamed Salah has never been away for Liverpool.

Salah missed more or less two months of action for the Reds after leaving for AFCON at the start of January. Despite that, the Egyptian is still the Premier League’s joint second top goalscorer and assister.

Mo’s latest goal came as the winner in Sunday’s crucial 2-1 win over Brighton. Despite missing a hatful of chances and driving Liverpool legend Steve Nicol ‘insane,’ Salah still came up big in the end.

That he did was largely thanks to Alexis Mac Allister, though. The Argentine midfielder played what has been described as a ‘world class’ pass to set Salah up.

After the game, Mac Allister spoke about how Mo had been ‘asking for some nice passes’ in the build up to the game. When it mattered most, Macca delivered.

Jurgen Klopp makes Mo Salah training claim

According to Jurgen Klopp though, it isn’t just Mac Allister who has been told to up his game in the assists department.

Speaking in his pre-Sheffield United press conference this afternoon, Klopp said he’s ‘sure’ that Salah is demanding the same from all of his Liverpool teammates.

“After the game [against Brighton] somebody told me that Mo ordered an assist,” smiled the manager.

“But Mo is doing that probably on Monday with everybody in the squad. I’m pretty sure he tells everybody, ‘if you don’t know where to pass the ball, give it to me.”

What else did Jurgen Klopp say

With another big game coming hot on the heels of the win against Brighton, Klopp had plenty to say on Wednesday afternoon.

The biggest news is that Liverpool are set to welcome back Curtis Jones to the matchday squad tomorrow.

Klopp confirmed that the 23-year-old is ‘in contention’ to get some game time against Sheffield United. Fantastic news.

Elsewhere on the injury front there doesn’t appear to be too much to report on. All of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota and Alisson Becker sound to be getting closer, but aren’t ready yet.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have a fresh injury doubt, with Wataru Endo struggling with a knock he picked up against Brighton. The Japanese is yet to be ruled out, though.

Whoever does play, they’re sure to get an earful from Salah if they don’t load the bullets for him to fire. Listen to Mo, lads!
