Rishi Sunak has said he would conisder bring Britain out of the European Convention of Human Rights in order to stop the boats.
The Prime Minister said he would end the UK’s seven decade long tie to the European court.
He described the UK as a "welcoming, compassionate country" however, added that it "has to be done fairly, it has to be done legally."
Sunak also hit back at critics who claimed his trousers are too short and declared how baggy trousers are a real turn-off.
Sunak told The Sun: "On this, I’ve been very clear. I believe that our scheme - including the Rwanda part of it - is compliant with all our international obligations, including with the ECHR.
"But I believe that border security and controlling illegal migration is more important than our membership of any foreign court.
"I come from a family of immigrants - and I think this will always be a welcoming, compassionate country - but that has to be done fairly, it has to be done legally.
"We are a people who wait their turn, pay their fair share, play by the rules, and this offends every one of those notions. That’s why it’s so important that we grip it."

Sunak also hit back at critics who claim his trousers are too short and declared how baggy trousers are a real turn-off.
When asked why he wears his trousers up to two inches too short, he said: "Well I don't think they are that short....I tend not to like lots of baggy, baggy stuff at the bottom of my ankle. I don't think they are that short."
When asked about when the election will be, he said: "I have been clear actually, I've said that my working assumption is we'll have an election in the second half of the year.
"But ultimately we have a long-standing tradition. It's Prime Ministers that decide when we're going to call an election and I haven't decided because I'm busy focusing on the things that matter to people."
When asked about his relationship with former PM and soon-to-be GB News presenter Boris Johnson, Sunak told presenter Harry Cole: "I spoke to him in person at the end of last year.
"Anyone from the Conservative family who wants to see a Conservative re-elected and who doesn't think Keir Starmer is the right person to lead our country will be welcome on the campaign trail.
"Ultimately that's the choice. It's myself or Keir Starmer after the next election.
"If you want to cut taxes, if you want a better approach to net zero, if you want a better approach to immigration, we're the ones to do that for you."
