In Ukraine, there were 65 clashes on the front line over the past day. The enemy attempted to break through the defense of our troops in three directions in the Donetsk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
Overall, the enemy launched 6 missiles and 85 aerial attacks, as well as conducted 88 shelling incidents using rocket artillery systems on the positions of our troops and civilian settlements. Unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population as a result of Russian terrorist attacks. Several multi-story buildings and other objects of civilian infrastructure have been destroyed or damaged.
During the night, Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine, using 20 UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type. Ukrainian Air Defense Force destroyed 11 of these attacking UAVs.
During the past day, the following settlements were targeted by aerial strikes:
- Samotoivka, Sumy region;
- Slobozhanske, Vovchansk, Holubivka, Kupiansk, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Pisky, Kalynove, and Borova in Kharkiv region;
- Stelmakhivka inLuhansk region;
- Chasiv Yar, Andriivka, New York, Stara Mykolaivka, Toretsk, Druzhba, Keramik, Novokalynove, Ocheretyne, Umanske, Karlivka, Semenivka, Novoselivka Persha, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka, Vodiane, Vuhledar, and Staromaiorske in Donetsk region;
- Malynivka, Orikhiv, and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region.
Additionally, over 110 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.
Frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation remains relatively unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, conducts subversive activities to prevent the movement of our troops to vulnerable areas, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border.
In the Kupiansk direction, our defenders repelled one enemy attack in the area of the settlement of Andriivka in the Luhansk region.
In theLyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 5 enemy attacks in the area of the settlement of Terni in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to break through our troops' defense.
In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 14 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region; Spirne, Andriivka, southeast of Vyimka, and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to improve their tactical position.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 15 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Berdychi, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to dislodge our units from the occupied positions.
In the Novopavlivka direction, our military continues to restrain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Novomykhailivka, Urozhaine, southeast of Vodiane, where the enemy, supported by aviation, attempted 22 times to break through our troops' defense.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions during the past day.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not give up the intention to dislodge our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro. Thus, during the past day, the enemy made 7 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our troops.
Enemy losses
During the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 14 areas of concentration of personnel, armament, and military equipment, as well as 1 anti-aircraft missile system of the enemy.
Units of missile troops inflicted strikes on 4 areas of concentration of personnel, armament, and military equipment, 1 artillery system, 1 radar station, 1 electronic warfare station, 1 UAV control point, and 1 other important enemy facility.
On the night of April 4, Russian forces launched Shahed-type combat drones against Ukraine. Air raid sirens were sounded in the southern, eastern, and central regions.
In particular, in Kharkiv, drones damaged apartment buildings and private houses. As a result of the attack, 4 people were killed, including rescuers.
According to ISW data, the Russians have increased the number of assaults in certain sections of the front.
