Sky Sports pundit says Arsenal can win the Premier League, but only if one thing happens

Clinton Morrison has tipped Arsenal to challenge for the Premier League title to the very end if William Saliba can stay fit after last night’s win against Luton Town.

The French international kept yet another clean sheet at the back for the Gunners as Saliba enjoyed an easy night at the Emirates Stadium with Arsenal wrapping up the game with two first-half goals.

Having already kept Manchester City at bay on Sunday, Saliba’s form has never been better for Arsenal, with the 23-year-old already looking like one of the best defenders on the planet despite his age.

And speaking on Sky Sports, pundit Morrison has now suggested that Saliba’s fitness will be key to Arsenal in their quest to win the Premier League title this season.

Last year saw the north London side’s charge completely fall apart after Saliba was ruled out for the remainder of the year in March, alongside Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Yet this season looks set to be different for Arsenal, who at this stage have essentially a fully-fit squad and the players needed to challenge for the title alongside Liverpool and Manchester City.

Morrison said when asked about Arsenal’s Premier League title chances: “Arsenal will definitely go right to the wire this season if Saliba stays fit.”

Arsenal can’t afford to lose key players yet again through injury

With Jurrien Timber the last player left to return from injury, Arsenal’s squad has never looked healthier heading into the final games of the season.

And with the likes of Saliba looking fitter and stronger than ever, there’s a real cause for optimism surrounding Arsenal fans heading into the Premier League run-in.

The Gunners look strong in the attacker and imperious at the back, and Arsenal’s squad options could make them dark horses for the title if they can keep their nerve together.
