Russia could repeat massive shelling of Ukraine. Occupiers have taken a break and likely amassing resources for attacks, according to the spokesperson of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Illia Yevlash.
"Of course, we do not exclude massive attacks from the enemy, as we now see that they have a break. They are studying our situation, where exactly the air defense is located, using the folds of the relief, terrain, riverbeds, where they can move unnoticed by our forces," he said.
The spokesperson admits that Russians are accumulating resources for possible massive attacks in the future. He emphasized that the Air Force is ready to repel enemy attacks.
"The enemy is accumulating its resources for further massive attacks after preparation, reconnaissance, and analysis of the actions it is currently taking. We are ready to repel (attacks), reload, and move," Yevlash said.
Shelling of Ukraine on March 31
Russians launched 14 cruise missiles from strategic aviation, the Iskander ballistic missile, and another Kh-59 over Ukraine on the night of March 31. Air defense forces shot down nine Kh-101/Kh-555 type missiles and nine Shahed drones.
In the Odesa region, an energy facility caught fire due to the falling debris of a downed drone. There were power outages in Odesa and the Odesa region, and problems with water supply in part of the city.
A critical infrastructure object was attacked in the Lviv region, with casualties reported as a result of the attack.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, admits that Russia may continue shelling the energy sector. According to him, the occupiers have accumulated Kalibr cruise missiles and may use them in the near future.
