Worrying photo emerges on Instagram of £11m Nottingham Forest star after win vs Fulham

Nottingham Forest hit the jackpot when they signed Murillo in the summer. The Reds paid just £11 million – or thereabouts – for the centre-back when plucking him from Brazilian outfit Corinthians.

The 21-year-old has been ever-present in the Premier League since making his debut against Brentford in October. A left-sided player, he’s showcased comfortably that he has what it takes to be a star in the modern game.

Murillo hadn’t played a senior game of football this time last year. Now, he’s showcasing real class in the Premier League and Murillo is being chased by four Premier League clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

Murillo was in action for Forest again as the Reds defeated Fulham 3-1 on Tuesday night. Now, however, a photo has done the rounds that might be a bit of a concern to the Forest fan base.

Worrying Murillo photo emerges after Forest win over Fulham

Well, it would seem as though the youngster has a bit of niggle that he’s trying to manage as the season comes to the closing stages. Hopefully, it will be nothing serious and he will be fit to play against Tottenham.

After an image did the rounds on Instagram, it will be interesting to see if Nuno Espirito Santo will be quizzed on this during his pre-match press conference.

The image that has been spotted on social media features Forest star Murillo stating how happy he is with the victory – but with a rather sizeable ice pack on his knee.

As a young player finding his way in men’s football, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Murillo was feeling some fatigue. Hopefully, the ice pack was more for prevention purposes rather than anything more sinister.

Forest go to Tottenham on Sunday evening and the hope will be that Murillo can be on the pitch trying to help the Reds shock Spurs and claim another big three points.

Forest need sought-after Brazilian to be fit

Murillo has enjoyed a wonderful maiden campaign for Forest in the Premier League. Who Scored shows that he’s the most successful dribbler of any central defender in the top-flight this season and at 21 that is quite remarkable.

The player isn’t seemingly fazed by anything and Forest need to have Murillo fit for the remainder of the campaign.

What happens to Murillo in the summer remains to be seen. There has been some interest in the player but one thing that is certain is that Forest will make serious profit on the youngster if they are forced to cash in.

In the here and now, the Reds have a Premier League survival mission to complete. The best chance Forest have of achieving that goal is with Murillo fit and hopefully, the large ice pack on his knee was for comfort purposes after the win over Fulham.
