Theo Walcott shares who he thinks will win the Premier League, and it's not Arsenal

Theo Walcott has now shared who he thinks will win the Premier League this season, with the former Arsenal star not naming the north London side.

The Gunners returned to the top of the standings last night with a 2-0 win against Luton Town, with Emile Smith Rowe the man of the hour for Arsenal in what was a strongly rotated XI.

With Liverpool facing Sheffield United later today, there’s a more than 100% chance that the Reds will return to the peak of the Premier League with a win at Anfield, much to Arsenal’s dismay.

And speaking on Football Daily, Walcott revealed that he thinks Liverpool will be the club who go on to win the Premier League title, despite the former winger’s strong connection to Arsenal.

Indeed, whilst the north London side have scored the most goals and conceded the fewest, none of that means anything unless Arsenal have the points to back up their incredible form.

And that’s where Liverpool’s claim for the title comes into view, with the Reds being arguably the most consistent side in the division this season in what will be Jurgen Klopp’s final year at Anfield.

Walcott said when asked who he thinks will win the Premier League this season: “There’s something about Liverpool for me that’s still eating away at me.”

Eight games remain in what could be one of the most exciting ends to a Premier League season in some years, with Arsenal looking good to end the campaign with a flurry.

Last night’s win with a weakened side was a strong testament to what Arsenal can do in the final matches of the season, especially with their best players all rested and recovered.

And Arsenal need to ensure that they don’t put their foot off the gas at this stage, with the Premier League title well within sight if they can maintain their current form.
