Despite Villa’s loss, the Colombia international received an abundance of praise for putting his name on the scoresheet against the reining champions, with many renowned names commending the youngster.
Among the comments were Atletico Madrid legend Radamel Falcao and Liverpool whiz Luis Diaz, to which Duran responded to Falcao ‘idol, tiger’.
Some of the striker’s Villa teammates congratulated the forward, with Morgan Rogers and Nicolo Zaniolo sending well-wishes.
