Cambridge Judge Business School receives B Corp accreditation

Fellow B Corp organisations will receive a 10 per cent discount on its open programmes following the announcement that Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS) is now a certified B Corporation.

The news was announced during B Corp Month and reflects the global community of businesses that have shifted into a new emphasis on purpose, championing sustainability, ethics, and social responsibility as core values.

“We are thrilled to announce our certification as a B Corporation,” said Allison Wheeler-Heau, director of Executive Education (interim). “This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to integrating sustainability and social responsibility into our programmes and operations.

“As a B Corp, we are part of a global movement of businesses working together to redefine success in business, not only in terms of financial performance but also in terms of our impact on people and the planet.”

James Letten, client relationship manager at CJBS Executive Education, added: “Organisations have a societal and moral obligation to champion positive change; B Corp promised to enable JBS Executive Education to be an effective and impactful part of that journey.”

The accreditation will encourage other businesses associated with CJBS to become part of the B Corp movement, which was founded in 2007 in the US by three friends who shared a vision to make business a force for good.

The world-renowned business school has a powerful in-house advocate for B Corp accreditation - Chris Marquis, who was appointed Sinyi Professor of Chinese Management at CJBS in January 2022, wrote Better Business: How the B Corp Movement Is Remaking Capitalism about the history and goals of the movement.
