Arsenal fans now all saying the same thing about Thomas Partey after 2-0 win v Luton

Arsenal supporters have now given their verdict on the performance that Thomas Partey produced against Luton Town.

Thomas Partey was handed his first Arsenal start in the Premier League since August against Luton Town on Wednesday evening.

The Ghanaian midfielder’s season has been decimated by injuries, meaning he has scarcely featured for the Gunners throughout this campaign.

What next for Thomas Partey at Arsenal?

Arsenal have been able to cope with Partey’s absence this season due to the presence of Declan Rice, who has been a revelation at the Emirates Stadium since his arrival in the most recent summer transfer window. Mikel Arteta was finally able to hand the former West Ham United man a bit of a break though, as Partey came into the team to take on the Hatters.

Arteta has previously admitted that his plan for this season was to partner Rice and Partey together in the middle of the park. Of course, that has not come to fruition, and the chances are that Arsenal fans will likely never now get the chance to see that pairing establish itself as there is a good chance that Partey will leave the club this summer.

The manager simply cannot rely upon the 30-year-old to be fit and available when needed, and as such the time has come for him to be moved on. In the meantime, though, Partey has been backed to make a positive impact for the club during the run-in.
