Air ambulance in Seabrook takes patient to hospital in London after crash in woods near Shorncliffe cemetery between Folkestone and Hythe

A cyclist has been airlifted to hospital after a crash while riding in woodland.

The air ambulance and paramedics were called to treat the patient in the area close to the Shorncliffe Military Cemetery near Hythe.

Emergency services arrived this afternoon and were seen leaving the scene at about 4pm.

One person was taken to hospital in London in the helicopter, a spokeswoman for the ambulance service confirmed.

They added the casualty had reportedly fallen from their bike while riding in the woods.

Residents saw the air ambulance land in a park off Eversley Road in Seabrook.

It has not been confirmed what injuries the cyclist suffered or if they are seriously hurt.
