'All day': Roy Keane shares confident Fulham prediction after Nottingham Forest 'shocker'

Fulham take on Newcastle United in the Premier League this weekend and simply have to come up with a big result after the shambles against Nottingham Forest.

Marco Silva took his side to face Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night and saw his side turn in a dreadful first-half display.

Fulham were 3-0 down by half-time and Silva decided to make three changes after half an hour.

There was a slight improvement after the break and Tosin Adarabioyo did pull one back but the damage was already done.

This summed up the frustrating nature of watching Fulham; one week, they go and beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 with a superb performance.

The next, they concede six goals and claim just one point at Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest.

That kind of inconsistency leaves fans tearing their hair out and Silva needs a response against Newcastle United this weekend.

Pundits predict Fulham v Newcastle United

This won’t be an easy game at all but Newcastle’s injury problems – including the continued absence of Kieran Trippier – will give Fulham some hope of a result.

The Magpies drew with Everton earlier this week and aren’t quite the outstanding unit they were last season.

Fulham need a response with Silva no doubt still fuming with his players after such a disastrous showing at the City Ground.

Roy Keane has now offered his prediction on the game whilst speaking on the latest episode of Stick to Football.

Keane confidently claimed that Fulham will win this one, believing that there will be a big response after a ‘shocker’ against Forest.

“Fulham are winning this all day, they’re on the back of a shocker against Forest,” said Keane. “I think Fulham will win.”

Ian Wright then offered a 3-2 prediction in Fulham’s favour, leaving Keane groaning before they settled on predicting a 2-0 Fulham victory.

Marco Silva could ring the changes

Silva’s three changes in the first half at Forest saw Sasa Lukic, Harry Wilson and Alex Iwobi dragged off.

On came Tom Cairney, Willian and Adama Traore, with all three now surely pushing for starts against Forest.

Harrison Reed and Bobby Decordova-Reid also came on but seem less likely to start.

Silva will be expecting a big response from his players this week and will be torn on whether to give those players from Tuesday a chance to put things right, or whether to freshen things up.

Either way, Fulham fans would take a victory of any kind in this one – whether it’s 3-2, 2-0 or any other winning scoreline.
