Iran is likely to start transferring ballistic missiles to Russia. But this is not happening yet, according to Reuters.

"Iran has indicated it intends to do so and that it will ship ballistic missiles to Russia and we have no reason to believe they won't follow through on that," the official said.

He emphasized that the Alliance has not yet seen any signs of such deliveries. According to the NATO representative, Tehran will begin the transfer as soon as it agrees with Moscow on "mutually beneficial terms".

Iranian missiles for Russia

At the end of February this year, Reuters reported that Iran transferred about 400 ballistic missiles to Russia. In particular, these were missiles from the Fateh-110 family of short-range ballistic missiles, including the Zolfaghar. They are capable of destroying targets at a distance of 300 to 700 kilometers.

Later, the United States reacted to the rumors and noted that they could not confirm them yet.

The Chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, also denied that Russia had already received ballistic missiles from Iran.

The US State Department, in response to media reports, promised that the international community would react quickly if Iran did decide to start supplying missiles to Russia.
