What Jurgen Klopp went straight and did to Alexis Mac Allister on the pitch at full-time tonight

Liverpool were once again indebted to the genius of Alexis Mac Allister to pick up another Premier League win tonight.

Mac Allister has been imperious of late, making the difference in virtually every game he’s playing for Liverpool.

That culminated with a quite brilliant performance against his old club, Brighton, on Sunday. The Argentine put the match-winning ball on a plate for Mohamed Salah with a truly ‘world class’ pass.

And today, he was at it again. Despite playing in a slightly deeper role against Sheffield United, Mac Allister still affected the score line.

Latching onto a loose ball just outside the box, Liverpool’s No.10 absolutely rocketed a ball right into the top corner. Sensational stuff from a player who just keeps on getting better. And immediately after the game, Jurgen Klopp simply had to show his appreciation.

Alexis Mac Allister earns full-time moment

It really doesn’t get much better than this from Mac Allister. Just watch that ball go in from the angle behind him. It’s absolutely perfect.

Not only was the strike incredible though, it was also massively important to Liverpool. With the game ticking into the last 10 minutes. things were starting to get desperate. Then, up popped their World Cup winner.

No wonder Klopp was so enthused post-game. As seen in a clip posted by TNT Sports on X after the match, the Liverpool manager was straight on the pitch to give Mac Allister a beaming wide smile and a monster hug.

The pair shared a smile and laugh about something or other as the Reds celebrated a big three points.

Liverpool rely on Mac Allister magic

It was only earlier today that Jarell Quansah described Mac Allister as being a ‘magician’ on the ball.

It really does feel as though the 25-year-old is making a difference every time he gets out on the pitch for Liverpool. Whether in the 6 or the 8 role, it makes no odds.

When in a title fight, you’re going to need these moments from your big players. And has he seems to be showing time and again, Mac Allister is one of the biggest.

That’s now 10 goal contributions in his last 11 Liverpool games. What. A. Player.
