Kenny Brooks is absolutely on fire, ladies and gentlemen. The good news just keeps coming for Kentucky women’s basketball.

On Thursday night, 6-foot-5 freshman center Clara Strack announced that she would be following Coach Brooks to Lexington, transferring from Virginia Tech to Kentucky. She will have three years of eligibility remaining.

On Tuesday, Strack entered the portal with a “do not contact” tag and only needed two days to decide her next landing spot, joining All-American point guard Georgia Amoore in reuniting with Brooks. Also on Thursday, Kentucky landed 6-foot-3 JUCO transfer forward Amelia Hassett.

In Strack’s freshman season, the Buffalo native averaged 4.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game. However, it was in the NCAA Tournament that her value became very clear.

With All-American Elizabeth Kitley out of the Big Dance due to injury, it was up to Strack to carry the load in a post-heavy offense. What did she do? Well, she averaged 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks in the Hokies’ two-game run.

If you need some highlights of Strack, we’ve got you covered.
