The 'psychologically important' moment that shows Arsenal are 'ready to fight' for title

One Arsenal star has now opened up about one recent moment which has given the squad a huge boost in their quest to become Premier League champions.

Arsenal are currently right in the heat of the Premier League title race. However, there is so little to separate them from Liverpool and Manchester City.

The data also suggests that Arsenal face a tougher run-in than their title rivals. The Gunners still have to face Chelsea, and have to overcome difficult away trips to take on Manchester United and their fierce North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Beating Brighton and Hove Albion on the road this Saturday will be no easy task, either. However, it is a match that Mikel Arteta will know that his side absolutely must win. Arsenal can scarcely afford to drop a single point between now and the end of the campaign if they are to come out on top.

Arsenal can take comfort from the fact they boast an excellent record when facing their ‘big six’ rivals this season. They now need to maintain their recent good form and consistency until the bitter end.

Oleksandr Zinchenko reveals reasons for Arsenal confidence boost

Oleksandr Zinchenko insists that this Arsenal side have got what it takes to go all the way. Having earned a 0-0 draw against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, and ended their long losing streak at that ground, the Gunners are now full of belief.

As quoted by The Mirror, when asked if this result against the reigning champions gave the Arsenal squad extra confidence, the Ukrainian left-back said, “yes, I won’t lie to you, 100% because it shows that we are ready to fight for it and we are ready to compete with the best teams in the world.”

“The result against City was definitely psychologically important. It’s not easy to play against City away and also Liverpool away and the other teams as well – I don’t want to be disrespectful to the others. It shows that Arsenal are ready to fight for it.”

How Mikel Arteta will guide Arsenal through Premier League run-in

This draw in the north west actually made history, as Arsenal became the first side to go through a Premier League season unbeaten against both Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. Arsenal have taken four points off both the Cityzens and Reds this season.

Journalist David Ornstein recently revealed that the Arsenal staff are in fact more concerned about complacency against the ‘smaller teams’ damaging their title bid, rather than any showdowns with the other ‘big six’ clubs.

With the fixtures now set to come thick and fast, Arteta will be working hard behind the scenes at the Emirates Stadium to ensure that his players remain calm and composed and don’t allow the pressure of the situation get to them, as it did last season when the Gunners’ title tilt derailed during the run-in.
