CCTV released after stabbing at Cambridge garage leaves man in critical condition in hospital

A man in his 40s has been left in a critical condition after a stabbing in Cambridge today (Friday, 5 April).

An appeal has been launched by officers following the incident at about 2.30am outside the BP garage in Cherry Hinton Road, Cambridge.

Ambulance crews and officers attended the scene and an investigation is ongoing.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident. No arrests have been made.

Detective Inspector Eliot Ducket said: “I’d appeal to anyone who has information about this incident, or who recognises the person in the CCTV, to contact us.

“We are exploring all possible lines of enquiry and increasing patrols in the area.”
