One West Ham United player with zero senior appearances for the club was pictured training with the first-team today.
And the 23-year-old is now closer than he has ever been to making his debut for the West Ham United first-team.
David Moyes has received plenty of stick from the Hammers fans over the past couple of years for failing to give some of the talented youngsters sufficient chances to shine.
However, I think that’s actually slightly unfair on him. The Scot has given Divin Mubama plenty of chances, and has also given senior debuts to the like of Ollie Scarles, Dan Chesters and George Earthy.

However, there is one young player who’s been with us since 2017, and he’s still yet to get a run-out for the senior team.
That could change if he’s lucky soon though…

Moyes has never been afraid to include under-21 players in first-team training throughout his years in charge of West Ham.
One player who’s been with us for seven years but still hasn’t played a first-team game for us has been in and around the first-team all season long.

Now though, he’s closer to starting for us than he ever has been before. And he was training with the first-team this afternoon ahead of our clash with Wolves tomorrow…
Joseph Anang was snapped in first-team training today, as shown below via the Hammers’ official X account:
Anang has made 66 appearances for the under-21s and under-18s combined, letting in 114 goals in the process (Transfermarkt).
They are hardly impressive numbers are they, and given the fact that he’s already 23, I just can’t see him breaking through to become a West Ham first-team regular.
That said, with Alphonse Areola currently out injured, Anang at least has a chance of getting some minutes, but it will obviously depend on whether Lukasz Fabianski remains fit or not.
The Ghanaian’s first-team prospects at West Ham still look very bleak though, if you ask me.
