'I am expecting a hat-trick from him': Chris Sutton backs Tottenham attacker to explode v Nottingham Forest

Tottenham Hotspur remain firmly in contention for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.

Although Spurs dropped two points away at West Ham on Tuesday night, Aston Villa couldn’t capitalise on it as they lost at Manchester City the following day.

Tottenham have also played one less game than the fourth-placed Villans, so they’ll be hoping to leapfrog their top-four rivals when they get the chance.

Up next for Spurs is a match against Nottingham Forest at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

Ange Postecoglou’s charges will be favourites against the Reds, who currently sit three points above the relegation zone.

Admittedly, there’s no such thing as an easy opponent in the Premier League these days.

And Forest have got some good results this season, with wins over Chelsea, Aston Villa, Newcastle and West Ham.

Which Tottenham player has Chris Sutton backed to score a hat-trick against Nottingham Forest?

However, Chris Sutton reckons Tottenham will be comprehensive winners over the Reds this weekend, predicting a 4-1 home victory.

The pundit, writing on BBC Sport, also backed Spurs captain Son Heung-min to score a hat-trick against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

“I am going to make Son Heung-min captain of my Fantasy team this weekend,” wrote Sutton. “Because I am expecting a hat-trick from him, and a big win for Spurs.”

It’s a bold claim from Sutton, but Son is certainly the kind of player who can wreak havoc against pretty much any opponent on his day.

In addition, Forest’s defence hasn’t been particularly solid of late. They have kept only one clean sheet in their last 20 Premier League fixtures.

Tottenham will be eager to make amends for a number of poor results in recent weeks, and if they really turn it up, then Forest could be blown away.
