'He’s still really mad': Megyn Kelly says Trump won't return to her show 'anytime soon'

Former FOX News host and moderator Megyn Kelly takes the stage ahead of the NewsNation Presidential Primary Debate at the University of Alabama Moody Music Hall on December 6, 2023 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Former Fox News host-turned podcaster Megyn Kelly said that she's not expecting Donald Trump to return to her show anytime soon after the two had a contentious interview.

Kelly told Newsmax’s Eric Bolling this Thursday that she had Trump on in September "and I don’t know that he loved that interview," the New York Post reports.

“There was a contentious part about the criminal cases, and there were lovely parts too, you know, but Trump, he kind of wants it all to be lovely," she added.

The New York Post points out Kelly's sit-down with Trump was the first time the former president spoke to her in seven years. Kelly now hosts her own podcast titled The Megyn Kelly Show.

During their sit-down, Kelly peppered Trump with questions about Dr. Anthony Fauci, contending that Trump made him a star during the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“He doesn’t want any contention, even though that works, you know, in terms of getting eyeballs to the interview, which is what he really likes,” Kelly told Bolling.

"And since then he, I don’t know, he’s kind of gone on the attack against me a couple times publicly. He’s still really mad about that debate question, so not sure he’s gonna come on anytime soon," Kelly said.

“Still?” asked Bolling.

“I think so,” replied Kelly. “He brings it up a lot.”

“He does have a long memory when it comes to those things," Bolling said.

Trump's dislike for Kelly reportedly began before the 2016 presidential election when she questioned him over his previous comments calling women he didn't like "fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals.”

When he finally sat down with her again in September, Trump reportedly resumed his attacks, calling her line of questions "nasty."

“She just, you know, boy, she became nastier all of a sudden,” said Trump during a campaign rally. “She was pretty nasty, didn’t ya think? Anybody that watched it?”
