Krispy Kreme released a special doughnut with Oreos in time for the solar eclipse on Monday.

The doughnut shop is releasing its limited-time “Total Solar Eclipse Doughnut” – an Original Glazed Doughnut with black chocolate icing, silver sprinkles, stuffed with a buttercream-Oreo filling and topped with a full Oreo cookie.

The Total Solar Eclipse Doughnut is available now through April 8, 2024, in Krispy Kreme shops for in-store pickup or delivery through the Krispy Kreme app or website.

Krispy Kreme fans can buy the doughnut individually or through a special dozen featuring six Original Glazed Doughnuts and six Total Solar Eclipse Doughnuts.

“Eclipses are rare and so is our out-of-this-world Total Solar Eclipse Doughnut. Even if you can’t be in the path of totality, you can get in the path of these treats, which you will eat in totality. Stop by and get some for you and some to share so you can flex your science side and great taste at the same time,” said Dave Skena, the Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, in a press release.

Krispy Kreme joins a number of other retailers, such as Sonic and Warby Parker, promoting specialty food items in preparation for the solar eclipse.
