A journalist was reportedly ejected from a Colorado Republican event after the state GOP chairman determined her reporting was "unfair."

Ernest Lee Luning, who covers politics in Colorado at coloradopolitics.com, flagged the development involving Sandra Fish of the Colorado Sun. According to the Sun's site, Fish "has covered government and politics in Iowa, Florida, New Mexico and Colorado."

"She was a full-time journalism instructor at the University of Colorado for eight years, and her work as appeared on CPR, KUNC, The Washington Post, Roll Call and other outlets. She likes to knit, weave, read, bicycle and watch sports," according to the site.

Despite her hobby of knitting, it appears some at the event saw Fish as a threat. Luning reported on Saturday that she was escorted out of there by a sheriff's deputy.

"At [Colorado GOP] state assembly in Pueblo just now, [Colorado Sun] reporter Sandra Fish... ejected from arena by sheriff’s deputy after party’s event manager said GOP chairman 'believes current reporting to be very unfair,'" he wrote.

Colorado GOP Chairman Dave Williams has been endorsed by Donald Trump and Matt Gaetz.

In response to the news, Courtney O’Dell, @sweetcsdesigns, said with sarcasm, "Good thing they had all the sheriffs around such a threatening figure."

Jack Healy, Rocky Mountain correspondent for The New York Times, appeared to pick up where Luning had left off in the investigation.

"Security escorting her out appears to be wearing a [Colorado Department of Agriculture] t-shirt. Which is a state agency. I emailed them to ask for some more details," the reporter noted.

No further information was available at the time of writing.
