Russian forces launched a missile, likely an Iskander-M, at Odesa, Ukraine, causing one person to be injured, according to the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"The enemy once again struck Odesa region with a ballistic missile, likely an Iskander-M, late in the evening, targeting port infrastructure," the statement said.
Consequences of the attack and casualties
The strike caused a fire that firefighters promptly extinguished.
"Administrative and technical buildings were damaged. An employee of one of the nearby enterprises was injured with a concussion," the military added.
Shelling of Odesa
An air raid alert was announced on April 6 at 21:45 in southern Ukraine. The Air Force warned of a threat of ballistic weapons being used from Crimea. Later, powerful explosions were heard in Odesa.
It should be noted that Russia once again attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones and missiles overnight on April 7. Occupiers launched a guided aviation missile X-31 from the occupied Luhansk region, an Iskander-M ballistic missile from Crimea, and 17 Shahed drones from Cape Chauda (Crimea). Air defense systems shot down all drones.
