Russian occupants shot Ukrainian prisoners of war in Krynky on the left bank of the Kherson region. A video of another Russian crime has been posted online, reports the Kherson Prosecutor's Office.

"One of the Telegram channels published a video showing Russian soldiers shooting three captured Ukrainian servicemen. The description under the video states that the event took place near Krynky. The recording shows a representative of the Russian Armed Forces firing several shots at unarmed, stationary soldiers," the prosecutor's office said.

Currently, Ukrainian law enforcement officers under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office are investigating violations of the laws and customs of war and premeditated murder.

"Once again, representatives of the aggressor country demonstratively ignore the provisions of the Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War, which indicates support for such actions by the highest command of the Russian armed forces," the prosecutor's office emphasized.

Russian crimes against prisoners of war

It is not the first time the Russian army has resorted to violating the Geneva Conventions, laws and customs of war by shooting Ukrainian prisoners of war. Such cases have been recorded, in particular, in Avdiivka, near Robotyno, Bakhmut, and in the Olenivka colony.

According to the UN, this winter alone, the Russian occupiers executed 32 Ukrainian prisoners of war. This is significantly more than in previous periods.
