Associate head coach Jan Jensen knew it was going to be a tall task. She knew the Hawkeyes were going to be up against it facing South Carolina on the glass. Iowa battled all night, but were outrebounded 51-29, including 18-7 on the offensive boards. That led to 30 second chance points for the Gamecocks and that was the difference in the game. The Hawkeyes have suffered defeats in the national title game in back-to-back seasons.

Jensen met with the media after the game to discuss how the team played, remembering the senior class, as well as some closing thoughts on the career of Caitlin Clark.
