In Ukraine, there were 76 combat engagements on the front line over the past day. The enemy's most significant attacks were reported in the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka directions in the Donetsk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
Overall, the enemy conducted 7 missile strikes and 104 airstrikes, as well as 108 artillery shelling using rocket artillery systems on the positions of our troops and civilian settlements. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population as a result of Russian terrorist attacks.
During the night, Russian occupiers again attacked Ukraine, using 24 UAVs of the Shahed type. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 17 of these UAVs.
During the past day, the following settlements were subjected to airstrikes:
- Hremuach, Chernihiv region;
- Kharkiv and Berestove, Kharkiv region;
- Chasiv Yar, Dyliivka, New York, Novobakhmutivka, Netailove, Pervomaiske, Novoselivka Persha, Ocheretyne, Yasnobrodivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske, Donetsk region;
- Orikhiv, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia region.
Over 100 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.
Frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation remains largely unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage activities to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatened directions, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 2 enemy attacks near the settlement of Terni in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops.
In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 31 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region; Chasiv Yar, Spirne, Viyemka, Fedorivka, Rozdolivka, Vesele, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 8 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Pervomaiske, Nevelske, and Netailove in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to dislodge our units from the occupied positions.
In the Novopavlivka direction, our troops continued to hold back the enemy near the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried 22 times to break through the defence of our troops.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders 5 times in the areas of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region; and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy is not giving up on the intention to dislodge our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, during the past day, the enemy made 8 unsuccessful attacks on our troops' positions.
Enemy losses
During the past day, the Defense Forces aviation struck 1 command post, 5 anti-aircraft missile complexes, 1 communication tower, and 13 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment.
Missile troops units hit 1 anti-aircraft missile complex, 1 UAV control point, 1 artillery system, and 3 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment.
Positional battles continue on most fronts, and the enemy has advanced near Avdiivka.
Russia is preparing for a large-scale offensive, and the Defense Forces will have to make difficult defensive decisions.
