Mike Dodds explains snub

Sunderland once again went another game without a victory on Saturday. The Black Cats were looking to bounce back from their 5-1 defeat to Blackburn with a victory over Bristol City but this never came to be.

Many of the decisions from Mike Dodds were questionable throughout the game. However, one that puzzled fans was the absence of Abdoullah Ba from the squad.

After the match, Dodds explained that Ba was left out due to the ‘competition for places’ the squad currently has.

It’s safe the say that the owners haven’t had the best reputation this season. From the appointment of Michael Beale to the failure of the January transfer window, little has gone right at the Stadium of Light.

Now, the owners have been warned over the departure of Steve Davison as the Chief Operating Officer.

While Davison’s three-year spell was hit and miss, journalist Phil Smith admitted that ‘he is not convinced’ that it was the right move to move him on.

Multiple names have been linked for a summer appointment at the Stadium of Light but one fan favourite is Sheffield Wednesday manager Rohl.

Now, the club have been told that to persuade Rohl to join the Black Cats, they would require a big transfer fee and the ability to bring his own staff in reported Alan Nixon.
