Lauren opens up about losing baby

Lauren shared insights about the loss of her baby with TOWIE co-star Amy Childs. She said: “I went into hospital thinking I’d come out with a baby girl, but came home with nothing.”

The OG star added: “Who knew then that we’d be sitting here now, gone through everything we’ve gone through, kids, life.”

Lauren gave birth to her late daughter Lorena in July 2022.

However, her umbilical cord wrapped around Lorena’s neck and the baby tragically lost her life. She told Amy: “So obviously, I lost my second, didn’t I? I don’t even want to get emotional about it.”

‘A really hard time’

Lauren told her friend she’d “had a really, really hard time”. She admits it has been “the hardest thing she’s ever had to go through,” telling Amy how Lorena “always will” still be with her.

The ITV star describes her late daughter as a “9lb beautiful baby” who was born via a natural labour. “She lost oxygen so it’s just heartbreaking, I never thought I’d go through that,” Goodger added.

She “didn’t process it until this year” and is “now grieving” but is “in a much better place now” after her body shut off. Lauren credits her first daughter Larose for keeping her here.

Goodger shares a child with ex

Lauren Goodger is also a mother to Larose, two, whom she shares with her ex Charles Drury. Having lost her second baby, she said Larose “doesn’t even know yet” how much she helped her grieve.

She was “in mum mode” after losing her second baby, saying Larose is “her angel and literally her best friend”. Amy told Lauren how she’s “the most amazing mum” alongside being “so tough”.

Revealing everyone has told her how strong she is, Lauren puts it down to “having no choice” and, although she’ll never get over it, is “learning to live with that loss”.
