Man Utd fans have seemingly turned on ‘frustrating’ player after Liverpool clash, they want summer sale

Manchester United played out a 2-2 draw against Liverpool, in a clash that may have wielded an undeserved point.

Luis Diaz opened the scoring on the night, his close-range strike from a corner leaving Andre Onana no chance after some questionable Red Devils marking.

But then Erik ten Hag‘s side responded, and how. Two strikes from Bruno Fernandes and then Kobbie Mainoo remarkably put the Red Devils in the ascendancy. That was until a Mohamed Salah penalty.

The game ended 2-2, which ultimately, United would have taken before kick-off. There was a sea of good performances. Harry Maguire was excellent, Diogo Dalot had another game to remember and Willy Kambwala was inspired. However, one player did not exactly pull his weight in the eyes of Manchester United supporters.

Manchester United fans have it in for one player following Liverpool clash

Manchester United fans were not happy with Casemiro‘s performance against Liverpool. The 32-year-old was rather sloppy in the Premier League clash and looked more than a little lost for a man who has won five Champions Leagues.

Supporters took to X and did not hold back.

One said: The fact that a holding midfielder isn’t a priority in the summer is scary. Casemiro should not be starting next season and shouldn’t be now.

A second adds: I’ve never seen a worse Casemiro performance in my life. Willy Kambwala and Kobbie Mainoo saved us from humiliation. I thought the penalty on Wan Bissaka’s tackle was very harsh.

A third states: Casemiro is ready for retirement.

Another says: Casemiro is the most frustrating United player I’ve ever seen.

Mark Goldbridge adds: Casemiro has had another stinker.

Casemiro… sold in summer?

Despite the veteran having a number of years still left on his contract, many Manchester United fans want the £60m man gone in the summer.

One said: We appreciate everything you’ve done for us here Casemiro, but it’s time to pack up your bags and head to Saudi…

A second put it bluntly: Casemiro needs to be sold he’s no longer a world-class CDM, looks out of shape and making very strange decisions.

Another adds: Casemiro should be sold this summer. Worst player on the pitch and it wasn’t even close.

Another finally adds: Casemiro it’s time to become fluent in Al-Nassr.

United in Focus: Our view on Casemiro

As sad as it will be to see him go – times up for Casemiro at Old Trafford.

He isn’t getting any younger, and Saudi Arabia will definitely be calling with a pretty penny in the summer. It’s 100% time to cash in.

Thanks for the memories Case, but it’s time to move on.
