'Out of context': Trump panics after Biden shares damning moment from abortion statement

Truth Social/screen grab

Former President Donald Trump's social media forces sprang into action Monday after President Joe Biden pointed out a damning nine-second portion of the presumptive Republican nominee's abortion announcement.

In a campaign announcement, Trump took credit for ending federal abortion rights.

"Many people have asked me what my position is on abortion and abortion rights, especially since I was proudly the person responsible for the ending of something that all legal scholars, both sides, wanted and, in fact, demanded be ended," he said. "Roe v. Wade. They wanted it ended."

"Many states will be different," Trump said. "Many will have a different number of weeks, or some will have more conservative than others, and that's what they will be."

"Trump says he supports extreme abortion bans across the country that criminalize doctors, threaten IVF, and force rape victims to give birth: 'That’s what they will be,'" Biden's campaign wrote.

Trump's campaign complained that Biden's team had only shared nine seconds from his entire announcement.

"Sorry that your candidate can't do live interviews anymore, but if you think lying and misleading voters like this is a winning strategy, get ready to lose in November," the Trump account snapped.
