Report: West Ham United now offering lucrative deal to sign Fulham player this summer

Fulham’s season has taken a dip since the international break and the summer transfer window will soon come into focus.

We could hardly blame any Fulham fan who was dreaming of qualifying for Europe after beating Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 in March.

Just one point in three games since the international break means those hopes are pretty much over though and Fulham’s season could fizzle out a little.

Fulham are pretty much safe and European action is moving further and further away, so the main goal right now may just be to improve on last season’s 13th-place finish.

Some supporters may even have one eye on the summer transfer window with the end of the season now in sight.

Fulham face a potentially difficult window with Antonee Robinson and Joao Palhinha set to attract major interest from top Premier League clubs.

West Ham United move for Fulham star

Then there is defender Tosin Adarabioyo, whose contract comes to an end this summer.

The centre back can leave for nothing in just a couple of months and Fulham have been fighting to keep him out of Liverpool’s clutches.

A tall, homegrown defender with some untapped potential, Adarabioyo was always bound to attract attention.

TEAMtalk now claim that West Ham United are offering Adarabioyo a lucrative move to East London this summer.

It’s suggested that West Ham are hoping to steal a march on the competition for Adarabioyo and are offering regular first-team playing time.

The thought is that teams like Liverpool may only offer Adarabioyo the chance to become a squad player.

West Ham believe that the regular playing time can give them the advantage over interested clubs like Liverpool and Tottenham – and their move makes an exit seem all the more likely.

Adarabioyo stay looks unlikely

We can understand Adarabioyo being somewhat attracted to West Ham.

The Hammers won a European trophy last season and are, frankly, just ahead of Fulham right now.

If Adarabioyo was going to stay put, we would have surely heard more encouraging noises about him signing a new deal.

All we have heard is that an offer is on the table but nothing indicating that Adarabioyo is even interested in signing on.

That makes an exit seem all the more likely and if West Ham offer bigger wages than Fulham, we may well see him in claret and blue next season.

Seeing Adarabioyo join a London rival would sting a little and we would hope that Fulham already have a potential replacement in mind with Adarabioyo looking likely to move on.
