Donald Trump Monday lashed out at Lindsey Graham after the Republican senator dared voice dissent against the former president's stated position on abortion.

Trump took to Truth Social to condemn Graham (R-SC) and issue a two-post defense of his take on legislating abortion.

"What he doesn’t understand, or perhaps he does, is the Radical Left Democrats, who are destroying our Country, will never approve anything that he or the Republicans want," Trump wrote.

"They love this Issue, and they want to keep it going for as long as Republicans will allow them to do so."

Trump Monday stated he believed abortion policy should be set at the state-level — and faced immediate pushback from Republicans such as Graham and his former Vice President Mike Pence.

Trump, in his post, falsely declared "all" legal scholars believed the Supreme Court's 2022 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was a "Great Event."

As a CNN fact-check points out, Trump's contention is not "even close to true" as law professors Kimberly Mutcherson, Maya Manian and Reva Siegel made abundantly clear.

“Any claim that all legal scholars wanted Roe overturned is mind-numbingly false,” Rutgers Law School Professor Mutcherson said.

Trump's defense does not reference the opinions of the medical profession such as the majority of OB-GYNs who believe Roe v. Wade's overturn resulted in more women dead.

Trump then told Graham he'd better step in line or face the prospect of President Joe Biden regaining the White House in 2025.

"Many Good Republicans lost Elections because of this Issue, and people like Lindsey Graham, that are unrelenting, are handing Democrats their dream of the House, Senate, and perhaps even the Presidency," Trump wrote.

Trump compares Graham to "hardliners" such as Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the anti-abortion political group the Susan B. Anthony list, whom he blames for handing Democrats elections "they should never have won."

"Lindsey, Marjorie, and others fought for years, unsuccessfully, until I came along and got the job done," Trump said. "Then they were gone, never to be heard from again, until now."
