TV star explains show's changing episode schedule as ratings plummet

American Pickers fans were left totally confused this week. Many went to switch on their usual installment of the antiques show to find no episodes were airing. Thankfully, Mike Wolfe, head honcho of the show, breaks down how fans can get up to speed with season 25.

Although Mike explains how it’s possible to catch up with the show, after running for over a decade, the show’s ratings are plummeting. Judging by Mike’s social media, his focus isn’t just on American Pickers. But, he publicly gives some of his crew shoutouts, so it appears he’s still enjoying filming.

American Pickers episodes

American Pickers usually airs on Wednesdays, but fans were totally confused this past week when their favorite show didn’t appear to be airing.

In its place was an episode of Pawn Stars. The final episode of American Pickers season 25 aired on March 27, meaning that the season is now over.

This makes sense as fans were complaining on the show’s Instagram page, and Mike’s page, that the series kept airing “re-reruns” instead of new episodes. It turns out it’s because the season is actually over.

Mike clears up confusion

Thankfully, for any perplexed American Pickers fans, Mike is replying in his Instagram comments to clear up any confusion.

Taking to the comments section of the American Pickers IG page, some loyal fans asked: “No new episode yesterday?”

And: “Was all ready to watch new show yesterday. But nothing on. What’s up?”

The show’s ratings this year, exclusively per The US Sun, have decreased. In January, the ratings reached 948,000, but this March they hit lows of 785,000. Thankfully, Mike’s keeping his viewership on the right tracks.

Responding to someone who asked: “Are there new episodes? I must be somehow missing them?” Mike wrote: “Last 8 Wednesday in a row on History.”

In his IG post, Mike explained how he felt “very blessed every month when I hit the road for 10 days to film new episodes of American Pickers.”

Sharing a snap of himself and a member of the filming crew, he wrote: “This is my Camera man John he’s been with us 14 years and his passion is WW2 History and Diving. On top of that we call him MR. Jeopardy… This dude has knowledge that comes in handy in my line of work… This shot was taken by @ericahlgrim_photography The other day when we were filming my interviews. My crew is like family to me I love them and can’t imagine this wild ride without them…”
