The sequel to Arthur Fleck’s story, Joker: Folie à Deux, is one big mystery.
Viewers were initially surprised that pop icon Lady Gaga would play Dr. Harleen Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn. The singer admittedly already has quite an impressive acting career, but it probably never occurred to DC fans that she could star as the famous villain.
Even more surprising was the news that Folie à Deux would be a jukebox musical. In various DC Comics adaptations, the Joker was a grotesque character, but the 2019 film offered a rather realistic and depressing look at the Clown Prince of Crime. Can the dark vibe be combined with the musical genre? Well, Todd Phillips will have as many as 15 songs to convince us of his vision.

As a story from the DC universe, Warner Bros. Pictures produces and distributes the new Joker film. Folie à Deux is scheduled to premiere on Friday, 4 October 2024.
Joker 2 is one of the most anticipated films of this year, especially for superhero fans. Therefore, it’s safe to assume that the movie tickets will go on sale long before the premiere.
Tickets for Warner Bros’ biggest blockbusters become available about a month before the film’s release. In the case of Barbie, tickets came four weeks early, whilst for Wonka it was three. Meanwhile, Dune: Part Two dropped tickets five weeks before the premiere.
