Nick Adams, one of the most notorious MAGA influencers on social media who repeatedly insists that he is an "alpha male," is the subject of a lengthy profile in the Washington Post.
One of the major questions the Post tries to answer is whether the Australian-born Adams legitimately believes many of the things he says or whether he is a parody account intended to mock insecure Trump supporters who engage in performative displays of masculinity.
The answer, it seems, is that he's completely sincere.
Or, as one person who worked with him two decades ago says, he's a genuine "idiot."
To illustrate Adams' true devotion to meat-headed alpha maleness, the Post describes his tenure as a deputy mayor of Ashfield, a suburb of Sydney, in which he proposed dealing with the threat of avian flu by engaging in a mass slaughter of the city's pigeon population.

Even setting aside the ethics of wanton animal slaughter, local officials informed Adams that it was simply impractical to imagine it was possible to eliminate all pigeons from the area given how quickly they multiply and spread out throughout large spaces of land.
"The idea that you could get rid of them in one area and that no pigeons would ever fly over from another is ridiculous,” Marc Rerceretnam, who served on the Ashfield city council at the time, told the Post. “But he was serious about this thing. I mean, the guy is an idiot.”
However, he also had a knack for garnering publicity, as he called a press conference to promote his fatwah against the pigeons by spreading bags of birdseed around the area ahead of time to make it look as though the entire city were positively infested with the birds.
His measure, however, still did not succeed.
The Post's profile also includes the following detail about Adams' life: "Adams says he never heard his dad say the words 'I love you.'"
