Gazans celebrate Eid as UN says Israel denying aid entry

Gazans are celebrating Eid al-Fitr following the end of Ramadan under the rubble and famine caused by Israels war on the enclave.

The UN's Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned on Tuesday that aid is still being denied entry into northern Gaza, with spokesperson Jens Laerke saying that convoys to the north are three times more likely to be denied entry.

US President Joe Biden has further criticised Israel, who called its military actions in Gaza a "mistake".

"What he's [Netanyahu] doing is a mistake. I don't agree with his approach," Biden said, adding that he's calling on Israel to agree to a ceasefire.

His comments come amid another round of ceasefire negotiations in Cairo between Hamas and Israel alongside Egyptian, US and Qatari mediators.

Israel's war on Gaza has killed 33,360 Palestinians, mostly women and children, with a further 75,993 injured.
