Megan McKenna opened up about her health struggles in a new video shared with fans.

The star, who recently revealed her secret IVF journey after announcing her pregnancy with her first baby, is engaged to Scottish footballer Oliver Burke. She recently gave fans more details of how she finally got pregnant after thinking she might struggle to conceive naturally due to the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) she was diagnosed with when she was younger.

In a new Instagram video, Megan plated up her dinner as she updated followers on her health. "We're having an easy dinner tonight, I've made a tuna pasta. I've been really not well all day so," she said before she added crispy kale to the plate. She went all to say how 'lovely' it was to receive messages from people about their own personal IVF journies.

"I can't thank you enough for all your comments, thank you from the bottom of my heart." She then showed fans the salad she made for the meal. "I've had really bad indigestion all day. Huge plate of food but I need it. I've only had breakfast, I've just felt so ill. I actually have a UTI. Honestly, a urine infection.

"Can you believe it? So I'm drinking cranberry juice. My belly has been killing me even though I've been getting stretching pains anyway. In the night, it's the worst. I'm on antibiotics which is not great so now I need to find probiotics to take while I take the antibiotics."

Many fans were quick to share their experiences and provided tips and tricks for UTI prevention while others rushed to compliment her. One user said: "You look sooo beautiful I love your videos, I’m so happy for you both, I’ve watched you on tele for years," and another posted: "That looks delicious!!! Sending love MOMMA."

Megan previously opened up about her IVF journey and discussed what she had to go through to become a mum. She said: "I started on medication three times a day and injections twice a day and pessaries for extra progesterone. After months of getting my lining good I went in for an egg retrieval. Everything went amazing, we got so many eggs and Oli done his part.

“A few days later I started to get unwell and it turned out I had OHSS. Over hyperstimulation of my ovaries. Very painful and dangerous because my ovaries were HUGE! I had fluid leaking inside my stomach which was making my belly swell and I couldn’t walk it was so painful. Some people just get it.”

She then revealed it was so bad she ended up in hospital for six days and was put on blood thinners to make sure nothing bad happened. She went on: "Sadly we didn’t get many embryos in the end (they didn’t survive the thawing process... but we got enough to make this happen... A few months after getting myself better and fit!! We decided it was time to have our AAA embryo implanted! It was incredible.

"I was back on the meds and injections as my womb lining had dropped again. I was also taking baby aspirin to stop miscarriage. A month later when my lining was good we had our baby put in. It was the most magical experience seeing it go into me being placed safely with embryo glue to make sure it sticks! It did!"
