TV star's fellow inmates send written letters to help him get out of jail sooner

Todd Chrisley’s appeal hearing is due to hit court on April 19 after an extended date. Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were sent to prison for fraud in January 2023, with a sentence of 12 and seven years.

With just a few days until the key appeal goes to court, Todd Chrisley‘s fellow inmates are writing letters to help cut his prison sentence. It comes as the Chrisleys vouch for better treatment of prisoners.

Todd Chrisley’s appeal hearing

Todd Chrisley has applied for an appeal hearing which would allow him to leave prison by 2032, cutting his 12-year sentence shorter. The appeal was pushed back from an earlier date.

In 2022, Todd and his wife of nearly 30 years, Julie Chrisley, were convicted of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud, and conspiracy to defraud the United States.

Todd is reportedly feeling “optimistic” about the future and believes they have a “good chance” at getting their combined 19-year sentences reversed or significantly reduced when their case goes to appeal.

The former reality star’s attorney, Jay Surgent, told Radar Online inmates at the Florida facility where Todd is in lockup and incarcerated individuals all over the US, are “wishing him well” ahead of his appeal.

A legal team which looks at appeals have received letters from prison inmates who say “they care” for the Chrisley family and advocating against the alleged mistreatment of prisoners.

Todd has previously called the prison conditions “filthy” and claims a dead cat fell from the ceiling.

GRV Media and Reality Titbit previously reached out to FPC Pensacola for comment.

Former lawyer calls Chrisleys ‘truthful’

Jay Surgent called the ex-reality star “unrelenting,” “religious,” and “truthful” as he serves his time at Federal Prison Camp, Pensacola, situated in Florida, often sending daughter Savannah letters.

Todd has not laid eyes on Julie for more than a year, after they were placed in separate prisons. However, their children, Savannah Chrisley, Grayson, and Chase, have all been paying regular visits.
